East Coast Windfarms
There is already a plethora of windfarms stretching from Margate in the South to the NE of Scotland and these are being added to all the time. Many of these are already on the UKHO charts but there are quite a few which are under construction and the only indication that there is anything in your way is the relevant Notice to Mariners. We have endeavoured to find and collate the information on these new constructions and this what we have found for the area we call the East Coast but there are others which you will find in our other “Regions” further up the coast
Extension to the Greater Gabbard/ Galloper Windfarms
The existing Gabbard and Galloper Wind farms are being extended and work started in the spring of 2016. The extended boundaries are shown in the section of UKHO chart 2052 reproduced below
East Anglia One
This new wind farm is quite well out to sea but would be of interest to those crossing to or from the Low Countries
