Think latest is Malpas pontoon has 1.2m at CD but then 16m of soft mud (according to harbour master!)
Now just 2 visitors buoys (yellow) at the top of channel just short of the visitors pontoon.

Charges for boats over 40ft on the pontoons is £25/night

I reviewed these notes in April 2022. Malpas has several pontoons now and there is still a detached pontoon out on the river. The hammer-head there looks as though it might get busy with tripping boats/ferries. The prices haven't changed much and the Cornish harbours website is easy to navigate. I've checked and the charges they quote for moorings are inclusive of VAT and Harbour Charges.

I believe the pontoon has 0.9m at CD but we were there at Neaps so can't be sure
Coffee shop and deli now open. Good for some essentials and up-market provisioning.
Found a couple of green buoys short of Malpas without pick ups. HM told us they were "temporary" visitor buoys !

Whilst looking for the visitor buoys off Malpas we came across a brand new council run walk ashore about 150ft long. There is a tap and a single toilet/shower wet room adjacent to the HMs office. £25 a night. Quiet and beautiful. Easy access to the Heron Inn. Looks like they are building some sort of coffee shop here as well with benches outside. HM didn’t object to me swimming in the river at HW from pontoon.

I reviewed these notes at the end of March 2021. I am still trying to get some definitive info on the Smugglers Cottage Restaurant. Truro has upped it's prices by a couple of pounds. From Tyro's comments below it would appear to be a good idea to consult the HM on mooring outside his office due the doubts about the bottom!!

I wended my way up the winding channel to Truro in the summer of 2019. Once through the flood gate and the well-marked channel I found a promising-looking pontoon near the HM's office which bore a notice proclaiming it to be the Visitors' Pontoon. I tied up alongside but when the tide went out it proved to be on the edge of a precipice and the boat settled bow down at about 20°. The next day I moved a little further up, alongside a biggish motor boat and spent a much more comfortable night.

Loo and shower in adjacent plastic boxes. Not ideal, but usable. £1 for an electricity card. Very helpful staff.

Pleasant little city with a spectacular 19th/20th century cathedral and a v good sing-song in The Old Ale House 200 yards from the pontoon.

There is one visitors buoy @ £15 up to 9m up to £21 max. Modern block of 2 showers. Convenient for 15 min walk via permissive path to King Harry ferry (free for pedestrians) or dinghy down to Trelissick pontoon.Possible to moor on pontoon head with prior permission (same price). Very weedy stretch of river and risk of being ‘weed locked’ on pontoon. Landlord taking back control next April 2019 so could change again.
