Update April 2022
Written by Don Thomson 3 | 26th Apr 2022
I reviewed these notes near the end of April 2022. As noted below both the showers at the Den and the Lido were under the control of the Council and are no longer available. There is a new HM here and changes are possible but for the future and as yet unplanned. So, for the moment - no showers etc.
Showers
Written by ACRS | 17th May 2021
I have used the shower at the Den in the past, but it was not available in 2019 or 2020 and the Council never responded to my question about its future. You can get a shower-only ticket at the Lido, but it's closed all 2021 for upgrade.
UPDATE SPRING 2021
Written by Don Thomson 3 | 14th Apr 2021
I reviewed these notes in April 2021. All reference to the Chandlers at Shaldon have been excised (I hope) and I've given up on the bridge lifts!! As far as I can see facilities have not been improved for the visitor but the prices are still low for the detached pontoon.

Shaldon chandlery - no longer open
Written by Willhc | 2nd Apr 2018
The chandlery in Shaldon closed a few years ago. Chandlery in Teignmouth is the only option close to the water.
Update Spring 2016

These notes were reviewed by Don May 2106. No changes were required and prices remain unaltered for the third year running.
Update March 2014
Written by dononshytalk | 24th Mar 2014
The notes were reviewed in March 2014. I have taken note of our members notes made in 2013 - sorry about the diesel, I've no idea where I got the idea that it was available in the boatyard. The sheldon bridge still hasn't been moved but may have one lift (to prove it's working) in 2014. Prices remain the same for visiting boats this year.
Diesel/bridge
Written by MissMack | 14th Aug 2013
"Hi, think you may be mistaken on being able to get diesel in the Boatyard, I use that boat yard daily and think you have some poor information on the supply of diesel from the boatyard. However Morrisons is literally just across the road. Power boats are moored upstream of the bridge, may require lowereing masts at certain states of high tide, so saying only dinghys can use the upper reaches is very misleading. I have a 24foot Plymouth Pilot ( with wheelhouse) and go under the bridge without problem barring the highest of the tides. Unless you can drop you mast , mcgregor 's for example then yes then going under the bridge is not on,
same for a sailing dinghy."
