2023-2024 update: In all cases this is by re- downloading only. This is for replacing 2023 versions with the updated version. Price : Free for 2023 chart purchasers ..available for the following chartsets ONLY:
(Note: The name of your current chartset can be seen in your list of Windows drives when the .iso image is mounted)
(Note 2: The Marine Navigator Android charts that were bundled with this (if you installed them) are updated separately HERE)
Note this is not mandatory, if you have the product working the charts will remain working and useable. You do not have to update.

Method:
1: Find the original PDF with download link and instructions, from when you originally purchased the downloadable Unified Charts.
2: Test your installation is working correctly with the original .iso image you downloaded. This update will only update existing working installations of 2023 Unified Charts. It will not update earlier versions.
3: Find the original.iso image you downloaded, put it by safely out of the way where it can't be confused with the updated .iso image you are about to download. IMPORTANT: the old image and the new image will have the same name. Do not confuse them.
4: Redownload the .iso image from the original link in your instruction PDF.
5: Mount the image in the same way you usually do. Note the white splash screen saying charts are unlocked, will now say 2024. You will not need to enter any activation codes, the updated image will simply work with your existing setup.
6: Do a clean install of the updated charts. In ANY navigation program you are using, you need to delete all references to the original 2022 chartset, and point the program at the new updated virtual drive. And do a full database rebuild as if installing the charts from scratch. This is vitally important as there may be significant positional difference between 2024 charts and 2023 charts. You MUST do a full fresh install of the updated charts.
In the case of qtVlm, find the 2023 originals in the programs mbtiles folder and delete. On starting qtVlm with the updated virtual drive, it will find and import the new charts.
Note: If you have not yet used both installations, don't worry. Simply download and setup as normal, and you can use your 2nd activation code normally, it will unlock the updated 23-24 set.
